OK, so last night I had some really cracked out dreams, which my brain was trying to capture into novel form. Yup, I'd wake up and suddenly realize I was "trying to type" something in my brain.

And, I was having these crazy in between awake/sleep experiences where I was trying to type some story.

Sad thing is, none of it had to do with my NaNo and I couldn't for the life of me remember what I was "trying to type" in my brain, but I would wake up and recall that I was trying to write a story.

What the hell! It was only the 2nd night....I have a feeling this is only going to get worse haha.

Have any of you had dreams yet? And those of you who have done it before, how bad does it get?! I'm a little nervous hahaha

I had a dream Sunday night about my story and yesterday I spent the majority of the day typing it. Granted it's toward the end of the novel and I haven't typed anything for the beginning, but last year I went in sequential order and never found an ending, so I should be happy for this ending.

For me, the nano dreams come and go. Sometimes they are way out there, and sometimes they are just what the muse ordered. I think they are more active in the beginning because that's what we've all been doing and thinking about.

It's funny, because last year when I did my first Nano, I definitely noticed that I was dreaming vividly and a lot more. My theory was the since my brain was being flexed so creatively during the day, it just kind of continued into the night! Last night I had my first crazy Nano dream ... and yes, it just gets worse, LoL.

This happened to me on the first night! I thought I was going crazy, haha. I must have woken up at least six times, and each time I felt like I really had to write something down. It wasn't about my novel, of course, because my subconscious is unhelpful. Do you usually write before bed? I did, so I guess that could have caused it.

Starting the first day, I had a dream that I was typing my novel. I ended up waking up with only 5 hours of sleep (at 5 in the morning!) because I was so anxious to write.

I had a crazy dream last night where I was typing, too! And I woke up, and was like: Oh, God, NANO has really taken me over.

I tend to dream a lot and I remember my dreams vividly. There's an example where my younger sister is a zombie and tears my arms off and drops me out a window (grotesque I know, but you should have been there it was a lot worse) and when I woke up I could have sworn it actually happened, but I still had my arms and my sister still loved me.

I haven't dreamed about NaNo yet, but it might happen. It takes awhile for my brain to start scheduling new programming for me to enjoy. I do get a whole bunch of ideas from my dreams though and when I wake up I flesh out the story until it gets to the very end. After this is when I decide to write down the story and it never EVER is the same or flows so smoothly as it did in my brain. I want a little inter-cranial tape recorder, that way I only have to write a story once.

I get dreams which dictate the next chapter. I wish I didn't, it's scaring me.
