"I Hate My NaNo Username" A NaNoWriMo Song

I'm back with yet another NaNoWriMo song. (Because this is what I do.) This song is about all of the excuses people have for not writing their NaNoWriMo novel (or not participating at all). It's called "I Hate My NaNo Username," although it has nothing to do with the NaNoWriMo website. It's just something I thought of as a really, really bad excuse not to participate in NaNoWriMo.

There are so many excuses
I have not to write
I know I should get past them
And some day I just might
But for now I sit and wait for
The words to come to me
Not for the sake of my novel
But to get out of this NaNo thing

I hate my NaNo username
And I think that my plot is kind of lame
And although, it's not December yet
I'll stop now--no one will see how many words I didn't get

November's really busy
Maybe another year
I could do in the springtime
And it could be like I was here
You just don't understand how
Crazy my life can be
Maybe you have time for writing
But it's not like that for me

I hate my NaNo username
And I think that my plot is kind of lame
And although, it's not December yet
I'll stop now--no one will see how many words I didn't get

I guess it would be great to
Say that I wrote a book
But I don't think it's the right time
Just give my calendar a look
You'll see that I've got obligations
I don't have time for fun
But I guess it would be worth it
Just to say I won

Although I hate my NaNo username
And my plot is truly kind of lame
I should remember it's not December yet
And I don't know how many words that I can really get

I'm NaNoing, but I actually DO hate my username (I created 6 yrs ago, damnit, not thinking I'll still be doing this every year). XD

Same here. It applied to my first NaNo, but it doesn't make sense anymore. Although, everyone on the NaNo site knows me as my current username, and I feel like I can't change it.
