I don't think I've introduced myself yet this year. My name is Heather, I'm 25, I teach middle school English, and I'm writing a science fiction/fantasy story about an archaeology student who stumbles into her professor's time-traveling device and is transported to the place where all the things that have been forgotten in our world are kept. She is a dead ringer for a woman who is a major celebrity in that world and gets involved in a rebellion against the government because the rebels promise to help get her home.

(Late as always ^^)
My name is Marie and I'm currently a student of English and German (both language and literature) and History at a small University - well, the town is small, anyway - in southern Germany.
My nano (rebel) project is a novel I have been writing these last eight years, but never got round to put more than 15k words down on paper. This nano is the time to change that :-)
By the way, it's also a fantastical story (and yes, I'm trying to avoid the term "fantasy" like hell ^^), albeit with an almost entirely human cast.

Hello all!

My name is Tracy, I'm a 23-year old PR professional and grad school applicant (hopefully next year I can post as a student). My screen name is Queen Shiva on the official site if you are interested in friending.

I am (attempting) to write a deconstruction of supernatural romance/action adventure (think Twilight for the firs, Buffy for the second). A 16 year old girl wakes up one morning to discover she has superpowers (definitely telekinesis and pyrotechnics, maybe more as I think of them). She's guided by a mysterious boy who only appears in her dreams to prepare for an upcoming war...only she's not totally sure which side he belongs to. Meanwhile, her best friend wants her to become a bad-ass action superstar. Oh, and she needs to do all of this and avoid getting drop-kicked out of the school that's ready to flunk her out. So...go!

This is my second year doing Nano and I'm really excited about my project. But I'm already behind, so... off I go!

Haaaay everybody! Name's Julia, 21 (22 in January, MEH!), live in Michigan and this is my third time doing NaNo! I've only managed to complete it my first time, and my heart just wasn't in it last year, sooo, I figured, third time's the charm, right? ...hopefully!

My epic novel of epicness is about angels (main character is a fallen angel who's long since been redeemed but refuses to return to Heaven), demons (that most humans can't see), and a group of six teenagers with powers that are being taught by the fallen angel to harness their powers and to fight an upcoming war. I was totally nervous to do this story because I was afraid it was gonna rip off Supernatural or something, but hey, I've been working on this thing since '05, it just sucked back then, so...I win?
