Hi guys! This is your NaNoWriMo is officially 10 days away. (don't shoot the messenger) With that, I give you the Daily Introduction Thread. We will be posting these for exactly two weeks, woo, so feel free to take your time and don't all clamor on the first one (or do, I don't care). What you do is post who you are, your name, your story idea, genre, etc, as well as your mother's maiden name and social sec - just kidding. :) (or am I?)
Have fun with it. NaNoWriMo is one part the challenge, but another very large part, and the reason we suspect so many of you are here for, is the community. We are here to form this community and my goal is to make sure that the relationships and community that is formed during these two months last all year. (more on that to come). So get to know each other and yourself and make some new friends!

Date: 2012-10-21 11:14 pm (UTC)I'll be doing something a little different this year. Instead of writing one large story based in the world I have created, I'll be doing several smaller short stories that all ultimately link together. Why? I have several characters that I've been playing/writing for nearly twenty years, and their beginnings have been almost lost in time. So, I'll be revisiting their beginnings and bringing it all back to light.
I've chosen seven characters, and have decided on 6k words for each short story. Then one slightly longer story telling the tale of two of the characters together for 10k words. That comes up to 52k words, a nice little buffer should one story fall a little short.
