1. What time of day do you do your best writing? Early in the morning, before everyone else gets up, or after midnight with a pot of coffee beside you? Sometime in the middle of the day? For hours at a time or with the few minutes you can grab here and there?

2. Where do you write? In the park? In a coffee shop? All alone in the basement? In the ball pit at playland? On a boat? (Or do you write at work, when you think no one can see what you're doing, simply thinking that at least you're not on IM like you are 11 months out of 12? For shame, for shame.) (Of course I do not know anything about this from personal experience.)

3. What's your favorite brain food?

4. How do you plan to celebrate reaching 50K?

1. What time of day do you do your best writing?

It varies, but most of my writing seems to happen in the wee hours of the morning.

2. What's your favorite brain food?

Any type of finger food, really. Or a bowl of something that I can eat quickly and get back to writing.

3. How do you plan to celebrate reaching 50K?

Sleeping. ;-)

1. It's too early to say, but so far I've been writing whenever I've had a spare moment!

2. In my dorm, almost always. :D

3. Other writers. I like to eat them. Haha, kidding.

4. Uhhm. How else does one celebrate? XD

1. I write whenever the mood strikes me but I'm better in the afternoons or evenings when I can unwind a little with some music and TV.

2. I write where I can which at the moment is uni [mid lectures because they're dull], at home or at work.

3. Apples. No clue why but I love them. That and peanut butter and jam sandwiches.

4. I plan on playing the sims 2 more and going back to work on my other series and watching TV.

I haven't had a peanut butter and jam sandwiches in *years*, omg craving! Irritatingly, we have no bread to satiate this...

1. My best is whenever I get a stretch to myself in my room, late afternoon, early evening is always good...

2. In the living room, or in my room. My laptop is too hefty to go elsewhere and coffee's cheaper when you bulk-buy!

3. Coffee, whisky and cigarettes. Oh dear. Good music.

4. By buying shoes. Yes.

1. Kinda found it's like early afternoon for me, espesh when I'm at a keyboard. Everything works at the same kind of speed.

2. Anywhere that has a flat surface for me to write on. Last year it was mostly at work, even though I was told a few times not to... I have really weird bosses... Or maybe they just thought it was a passing fancy... Meh.

3. Anything sweet. I'm really like L (Death Note) in that respect, except I look like I eat sweets...

4. New Stephen King book, getting my highlights done and buying more books... Yaay!!! :D I just hope I get there...

1. Usually in the morning or the evening. Afternoons are horrible for me. But when school starts again tomorrow, it'll be whenever I have time. Stupid school getting in the way of my writing.

2. In the family room with headphones on. Maybe at school. I'll have to see how observant my teachers are feeling.

3. Halloween candy, obviously. It has to go somewhere. Though I should try to work in some fruit.

4. Take a deep breath before I dive into finals.

1. What time of day do you do your best writing? Any chance I get, I write.

2. Where do you write? Mostly at home, between 10P and midnight, but also during my son's nap time on weekends, during my commute (via public transit), and during my lunch break at work if I'm not running errands. I have been known to NaNo in the kitchen while baking...

3. What's your favorite brain food? Halloween candy, apparently. And whole grain cereal in milk.

4. How do you plan to celebrate reaching 50K? Victory Tattoo!

1. I tend to feel most awake and creative either first thing in the morning or late at night. I generally do most of my writing in the early hours of the morning, when I'm relaxed and safe from work :D I like to write in bursts of an hour or two, sometimes more if I'm really in the zone.

2. Lol :D I work from home anyhow so I tend to write in my office there. Currently I'm staying with my partner's family in their rural home in order to finish my PhD thesis, so I'm taking the opportunity to be inspired by the remote location!

3. Coffee :) Also chocolate, in relatively small doses.

4. Haven't really decided, but I think maybe going out for dinner with my SO and boring him stupid about my novel while getting him to fill in the plot gaps, lol.

1.) I work best at night. The dead environment, with just myself and my music, makes for a most conducive writing mood.

2.) Where ever I can. Computer usage is an issue with me- when not in my room, on my computer, I could be on one of three different computers.

3.) Instant cappuccino and animal crackers.

4.) Screaming I did it! And then showing off. Lots of the showing off.

1) Really late at night, when I'm tired. OR really early in the morning, but I can only do this if I'm outside, preferably the woods.

2) Either siting at my desk, or sittin in my closet. I like small enclosed spaces.

3) I don't really eat when I write.

4) MY NEXT TATTOO!! So excited :]

1. I usually write my best late at night, but during the past days my creative juices have been flowing in random bursts throughout the day, and I have been writing as soon as I have a moment to spare either way.

2. My laptop has decided that it wants to call my bed its home, so that is where I do my writing - in my bedroom, on my bed.

3. Right now I have only been drinking copious amounts of tea, so we will see.

4. I... have not decided yet! I will probably wait until the second or third week slump to think of something to motivate me. I might go ahead and re-activate my World of Warcraft account as a reward.

[1] At night, anywhere from 7/8ish to the wee hours of the morning. I've always written more and better at this time from elementary school on, be it reports, any kind of homework really, fanfiction, or original fiction. My muse is a night owl, apparently.

[2] Always at my desk. I tried other places but I am too easily distracted. I can't even write on my bed because that is my reading area, so it must be sitting at my desk in silence.

[3] Cereal. Or hot chocolate (especially WHITE hot chocolate), though technically that is a beverage.

[4] Crying. And sleeping. And probably shopping for books because I will be reading less this month because of NaNo.

1) My best writing is in the afteroon/evening. I'm not awake in the morning, and I get distracted at night.

2) I write at home, or at Coffee Haus (a local coffee place that is awesome)

3) I kill for Chex mix during November.

4) I don't know! Something awesome, though. Fireworks and explosions.

1. I don't have internet access after midnight, and I work well when I know that others are suffering with me, so most of my writing gets done during the day- although sometimes I'll kick out my word count after midnight anyway. I like writing alone in the early morning as well as later in the evening. Basically, times when it's quiet and dark and I don't get interrupted much.

2. Generally in the living room or my bedroom, but coffee shops are also good.

3. Tea! :) And most other things containing caffeine, with the exception of coffee, because I'm (sadly) allergic. Salads, junk food, ramen... I don't really discriminate when it comes to brain food.

4. I'll be having a big party with my NaNo group. :D

1. Late afternoon into the wee hours of the morning. I'm an inveterate night owl.

2. In our great room, at the dining table. That's where I do my "real" freelance work, too.

3. Kashi Crunchy bars, which I purchase in large boxes at Costco.

4. Overindulgence in alcohol.

1. I write best in the morning, after I've had breakfast. But I'm trying to write throughout the day. I get mentally tired in the evening, though.

2. At home... staring at a blank wall. When I get my laptop (it's ordered, but we have no idea when it will arrive... maybe this week or next week) I'll be writing on the balcony if it's not too cold on my fingers, and probably in bed, on the couch... wherever, really.

3. apples with peanut butter. broccoli. normal things, actually. I don't snack too much when I write, it's too distracting.

4. Probably going, "woo-hoo! I did it!" and then making my husband some dinner. :-P Nah, I think my husband will take me out to dinner.

1) I've learned in years past that I do my best work after midnight, usually around three AM. But I write whenever I can get a spare moment, almost to the point if I didn't carry a notebook and pen with me wherever I went (Along with D&D dice, but that's a whole different matter) I'd be writing on my arm.

2) Like I said, whenever I can get a moment. I wrote during lulls at work when I had a job, when I was still in school I wrote instead of listening to the teacher when I was in school, (No joke, I actually wrote my frist in detail sex scene in class right after taking the High School graduation test), if I could have managed it I would have wrote during gym class. But usually lately I'm either in bed or at my desk at home. No money right now to go and write at Panera Bread or Starbucks.

3) CHOCOLATE! Oh, and Coke. But mostly chocolate. Ramen's good too.

4) Haha. That assumes I'm even gonna make it. But if I do, I'm gonna do a marathon of anime and RP, maybe even talk my parents into taking me out for dinner or giving me money to go and buy more anime/manga/video games. Definently gonna try to beat Final Fantasy X for once.

I write best in the morning, when I'm fresh, though I usually finish in the afternoon when I'm on a roll. ;-)

I do most of my writing in my home studio on my laptop, but sometimes I do some writing in the dining room or living room...or at the coffee shop. I even did my first bit of writing, yesterday, in the car on the road.

My favorite brain food isn't food. It's music! :-D Nuno Bettencourt has been especially inspirational to me this time around.

To celebrate reaching 50k? Well, nothing really. But when I reach my personal goal of 125,000, I plan to get my hubby to take me out to dinner....then I'll edit it and post it to Lulu.com (http://www.lulu.com)! :-)

1. I prefer to write at night, but if I'm working I have to squeeze it into a break in the middle of the day.

2. Most of the time I write at home, sitting on my bed with the keyboard on my lap. However, I've found that some of my better writing happens when I'm at work, scribbling during my coffee and lunch breaks. It's just possible that I work better with an audience!

3. I had trout for dinner. Fish is supposed to be brain food... But when I'm actually sitting down to write I do it with a mug of coffee by my side.

4. I have no idea!

1. I write whenever I can.

2. At home, in the livingroom, with the laptop.

3. Anything within reach.

4. Begging my mother to take me somewhere to eat. Given all the food I'll forgo, it sounds good!

1. After midnight, with no coffee. Sometimes I can write pretty well in little pockets of time during the day between doing other things, but these are usually pretty short.
2. Pretty much anywhere I happen to be.
3. Anything I can get. I don't actually eat enough.
4. Probably will go to Starbucks or get ice cream. But I'll be doing those things anyway.

1. Somewhere in between 7 PM and 2 AM. No idea why. Probably because I'm a night owl and can't sleep until 3 these days.
2. In my bedroom, usually. Sometimes I might drag my laptop out to the family room and write while half-paying attention to the television, but usually my bedroom.
3. Honey-roasted peanuts, SweeTarts, various coffee drinks (coffee itself, instant Irish cream cappuchino, cafe mocha... whatever), iced unsweetened green tea. And sometimes hard cider. I tend to drink more than eat.
4. Haven't decided yet. I might just settle with driving everyone in the house crazy while I play TSO Christmas music loudly, or I might go buy FFIV - which I've been thinking of getting for like six months now.
