Hi, I was wondering if NaNoWriMo has to be one (relatively) continuous plotline, or if't just kinda *supposed* to be, but you can include other stuff?

I was wondering cause I sat down and wrote a story (fanfiction) last night which is in the same fandom as my nanofic, but takes place in a completely seperate timeline, way too far in the future for it to fit into my NaNofic, and different characters. But both it and my NaNoWriMo fic take place in the "Transformers" univers. (like I said before, I'm writing fanfiction for WriMo.) Can I still include it as NaNoWriMo fiction, or does it have to be somewhere in the time span of the story I'm writing for WriMo?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You're still writing, so I think it counts. It all depends though on how you feel about it. Nano isn't so much about winning as it is about writing. If you're happy keeping both, why not?

I don't think there's a rule against it, but this is my first year soooo, I dunno.
